Slideshow update

Just a few photos from the past few weeks. For those of you giving me heat for slacking on updating the blog, just know that the little man puts you to shame. He wants to look at new pictures on his blog several times per day. Not happenin'. Luckily, he's usually just as happy looking at old blog posts or other kid-blogs.

Happy Valentine's Day

Jonas and his valentine, Greta, snuggle on the couch and wish it would get warm again for a few days. Have a great valentine's day, everyone!



If you look closely in the second picture you can see that Jonas has "donated" his stickers from indoor playground to Greta.
This last picture appears in Madison's free weekly newspaper, the Isthmus, on page 11 in "the book of love" section this week! Bring on the paparazzi.

Some black and whites

Just a few photos I've randomly taken over the past few days while Jonas and I are trying to beat the cold weather. I've also had my hands full keeping Jonas out of the bathtub. Seems he likes the big boy tub and the vortex of water that goes down the drain so much that he is constantly telling me he needs a bath. I think not. Last night he laid down on his belly in the tub and propped himself on his elbows. He looked quite pleased, peaceful, and warm and then the frog kicking began!

Mmmmm, yogurt

Jonas has been eating yogurt for quite some time, now, but he hasn't had it in a while. We are trying to get him to use a spoon by himself more often, which usually ends up with the food on his bib and face. As you will see in this video, Jonas has come up with a quicker way to get a new-old-favorite into his mouth.

Cabin fever!

What to do when it's below freezing and you're only 16 months old? Make the most of it, of course.
Read a book about the fourth of July, fireworks, and watermelon...


Try something tropical, even if it's just for an hour at the Olbrich Garden Conservatory...

Belated Christmas wishes

Jonas spent his final Christmas celebration at his great grandma's house in Brookfield. He had some good eats, great presents, and a fabulous time, as you can see.

Jonas enjoyed several Christmas celebrations in various parts of Wisconsin and still has one yet to go!

First professional haircut!

Jonas has had a few trims from mom and dad at this point, but his cowlicks and feathery hair were getting a bit straggly looking. We took Jonas to get his first haircut on Tuesday. He was not a great sport about it, as you can see from the progression of photos. In the end, he ended up just fine with a new, short haircut and a balloon.
